Best Dog Friendly Resorts Texas – One of the questions I get asked the most is if the places I visit in Texas are dog friendly! Is this the best treehouse in Texas? Located near Bastrop in Paige, Texas, the Hobbit’s Nest Tree House is an escape into nature. As you can imagine, the set is Lord of the Rings themed, with plenty of accessories to bring the Shire to life.

And best of all, they’re one of the most dog-friendly places you’ll find. Instead, the owners live nearby, and their two dogs roam the grounds and might even climb into the treehouse and say hello!
There is no wifi here, but there is a grill, a toilet, a shower and a small fridge, so I recommend cooking there and opening it. Also, the sounds of nature are at their peak here, especially with “professional musicians” that you can hear from the beautiful lily pond that the tree house overlooks.
This scenic area is located outside of Dripping Springs in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Options at Lucky Arrow Retreat (take $10 off Hipcamp for new users) include yurts, rooms, and lodges, depending on the size of your group and the type of experience you’re looking for. If you really want luxury, yurts are the best option for you, as explained below.
Each is suitable for two guests and has access to a nearby bathroom. Other properties like the hotel include Courtyard Cabins, Breezeway Cabins, and Porch Cabins, which sleep up to four guests and have private bathrooms.
Best Pet Friendly Hotels
Although the place is dog friendly, you have to pay a fee of US$150 per pet, which you can do when you register by paying at Hipcamp (which will also ensure that you are placed in one of the designated rooms for animals. ).
If you’ve ever wanted to sleep in a shipping container, then the FlopHouze Shipping Container Hotel in Round Top, TX is what you’ve been looking for. Sit around the fire pit and enjoy fantastic stargazing, take a dip in the pool and shop downtown.
If you really want to have a good time, book your time at the Round Top Antique Fair (just book early because people come from all over the world!). And yes, pets are allowed for free!
The Reserve at Greenleaf is located near Bastrop and has four luxury yurts to choose from. If you’re bringing your pet, their pet-friendly yurt is The Copper Lily (get $10 off at Hipcamp for new users).
Pets & Points: Pet Friendly Hotels Fur Sure!
This home sleeps up to 4 guests and has amenities like a private bathroom and access to a long walk. They also offer guided tours for an additional $25 at checkout. They also have things like kayak rentals available upon request!
Ranch 3232 has a unique location in the Texas Hill Country with cabin rentals, air-conditioned tents, RV sites, campsites and even gypsy bikes (take $10 off Hipcamp for new users). The home is also conveniently located in Johnson City about 1.5 miles from Pedernales Falls State Park, so it’s great if you want to hike and explore the park during your stay.
My favorite is the Bird House, their little house, although I would have done it solo (+ dog). It’s too small! If you are looking for something bigger, apartments are a good option. As of this writing, the light tents do not allow dogs.
It’s always a good idea to check the rooms anywhere that allows pets, because sometimes not all rooms in the house and rules can be changed!
The 7 Best Dog Friendly Weekend Getaways In Northern California
GLAT Austin is located on Bastrop Beach and has luxury tents that last 3-6 days, depending on which tent you get (get $10 off Hipcamp for new users). They also have some rooms that have their own hot spots, and other things like fireplaces that every room in the house has.
Mystic Quarry in Canyon Lake, TX is the best place to be if you want to go tubing this summer! Their accommodations range from small rooms, tipis, luxury tents and cabins to RV sites and tents (earn $10 from Hipcamp for new users). You can spend the day by the pool, swim in the nearby Guadalupe River, see a concert at the Whitewater Amphitheater, or stop by Canyon Lake.
If you search for pet-friendly, you’ll find that they have many luxury dog-friendly amenities, such as safari parks (my favorite), pet-friendly cabins and lodges.
