Weekend Vacations With Dogs

Weekend Vacations With Dogs – Fall is the perfect time to get outdoors for a Texas pet vacation. The weather is finally getting colder, but not too cold, so you need to pack your winter gear. Day walks are not only safer for you and your dog, but also more passive, fun and enjoyable. At night, the temperature drops enough to warrant a cozy fire under the stars, where you can snuggle up or snuggle under a blanket.

Fortunately for San Antonio, there are plenty of places to visit within easy driving distance. Whether you’re looking for a full holiday experience, a luxury suite, or something in between, there’s something for everyone. If you’re feeling relaxed and comfortable in quarantine and the hot summer months, it’s time to pack your bags, jump in the car and head to one of these three pet-friendly holiday spots pet in Texas.

A Road Trip With Dogs: Dog Friendly Destinations

If you spend any time on Instagram, you’ve probably seen these cute little cabins nestled in the remote parts of the United States. There are three checkpoints in Texas, all within easy driving distance of San Antonio: one outside Dallas (4.5 hours from SA), one outside Houston (3 hours from SA), and one outside to Austin / San Antonio (do) Wimberley , more precisely , only 1 hour away)!

Each room has a comfortable queen-sized bedroom, a bathroom with shower and toilet, and a kitchen with cooking utensils. Best of all, the Getaway is pet friendly and only has a $40 cleaning fee to cover additional cleaning costs! They provide food, water bowls, puppy gift sets, and even a long, open leash that your dog can push on, but with room to walk.

According to the creator, Getaway “is designed to give people time, space and relaxation. Our small cabins in nature offer a break from the city, technology, and work so you can charge for who and what matters most. “

If you’re looking to “get away” from it all without overdoing it, this is the perfect weekend for you and your dog!

Dog Friendly Vacations (roadtrips)

If you’re looking for something a little more nature-friendly, our 13 acres might just be the place for you! Last winter I found this hidden gem while looking for a weekend getaway for my husband and I for our 2nd wedding anniversary. Located on 13 acres of wilderness, these beautiful homes are only an hour and a half from Drip Springs San Antonio.

Each cabin has air conditioning/heating, a small coffee maker, comfortable beds with fresh linens, and beautiful views of the Texas mountains. There are two communal toilets on site, but don’t let that scare you! They are well decorated and clean! Includes a cooler for refilling reusable containers, a sink with soap, dishes, and hot water for hand washing. However, although the outdoor shower is very pleasant, it can be a little chilly when visiting in the colder months.

You won’t be short of things to do during your stay at this 13 acre property. You can walk the property (note: there are no roads, so it’s an adventure!) or you can hop in the car and explore nearby state parks like Pedernales Valley. If hiking isn’t your (or your dog’s) thing, there are dog friendly wineries/breweries within 20-30 minutes of the retreat. My favorite is Hawk’s Shadow Winery.

If you’ve never seen a maple sprout in autumn, you’re missing out. FOR FREE. Fallen Maples State Natural Area is located 2 hours from San Antonio and is known as one of the few places in Texas where you can see spectacular fall foliage. The leaves don’t change until the temperature drops, usually in mid-October or early November, so you have to time it right. Texas weather is always unpredictable, but you can check out the park’s fall foliage color report here.

As the leaves begin to change colour, the burnt maple tree becomes a living workplace! It is recommended to book accommodation in advance, sometimes up to a year! Access is limited due to the outbreak of coronavirus and passports (camping and day tickets) must be booked in advance online or by calling the customer service centre.

I promise you, it’s worth the trouble! Not only is Maples Coll a year-round scenic spot, it also has more than 10 miles of trails that loop to the top of the 2,200-foot cliff. There are 30 campsites with water and electricity and around 50 campsites, most within a short distance of composting toilets.

If you or your dog don’t like camping, you can take a day trip to Lost Maples. Driving there in the morning, seeing the sights, and returning home in the afternoon is definitely enough. However, a night or two under the stars is hard to beat, especially when the weather is cold enough to crawl into your sleeping bag!

Burlington, Vermont is one of the friendliest places in New England. Perfect for outdoor adventures and hip walks, downtown Burlington has a playground for dogs and their companions. You will discover many interesting things about your power. Cycle the Burlington Greenway along the shores of Lake Champlain, then stop for a local brew at one of the city’s many craft breweries. Burlington breweries that allow patio dogs include Fam Brewers and Zero Gravity Craft Brewery, while places like Switchback Brewing Co allow dogs inside. One of New England’s most popular pedestrian (and dog-friendly) malls, Church Street Marketplace offers dog-friendly dining and shopping. For a pet-friendly hotel within walking distance of downtown, the Made Inn Vermont Bed and Breakfast offers a comfortable home away from home for you and your dog.

Taking Your Dog To Europe From Singapore

There is no better place to spend a canine summer than Cape Cod! With miles of pristine beaches, irresistible charm, and tons of outdoor activities, Cape Cod is a great summer getaway for people and dogs alike. You will especially enjoy visiting the Cape Cod National Seashore. Sand-washed beaches and paths allow dogs to run even in peak season. Then quench your thirst at Provincetown Brewery. They are dog friendly (and socially conscious) and have a dog house in the beer garden with a sign that says “I Bite Gays.” There are also pet friendly places on the Cape. Dig your hole at Chatham Bars Inn or “splash” with your dog at Nickerson State Park.

Cape Cod National Seashore is just one of them
