Dog Friendly Holiday Events Near Me
At the event, which will last only two nights, animal lovers are invited to bring their pets and experience the light show. All pets must be on a leash for this event. Proceeds will go to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County.

Pet owners and lovers! Kick off the holiday season with your pup at the park. Bring your blanket and relax on the grass on the amphitheater stage while listening to Capital Effect’s rock music. Pose with your dog and the Grinch and take home a fun photo souvenir. Enjoy gluten-free cider, beer, and delicious food. Learn about local animal services. Collect treats and treasures as holiday gifts for your animal-loving friends or furry friends. Explore the Cabin John Regional Park Dog Park or opt for a quiet, scenic walk through the park on the Cabin John Trail. This event is FREE. All ages are welcome!
Holiday pet pictures are back! The Montgomery County Humane Society is excited to offer this wonderful opportunity to create a holiday photo memory with local photographer and author Pamela Townsend and photographer Michael Luton. All pets are welcome! Pre-registration is required.
Let’s turn our shelter into a winter wonderland! Pack up the sled and head to Hampden for a day of family fun and pictures. Our PAWliday Village will be filled with photo opportunities (free and paid), activities for you and your pets, vendors, and even some milk and cookies. Kick off the holiday season by wrapping gifts, taking photos for your holiday card, and saying hello to some adoptable pets.
Prepare your pets to get close to Santa! Family pet photos are available every Monday on CenterCourt. Pets are part of the family too! Bring all the supplies to take photos with Santa. Reservations are recommended as visits are not guaranteed.
Dog Friendly Walks And Days Out
Take your dog for a leisurely 1-kilometre walk or an invigorating 3-kilometre stroll at Leashes ‘n’ Lights. Join your favorite dog as they experience over 450 magical light shows. Enjoy hot drinks and take a selfie with Santa (bring your camera). Various dog vendors such as Corgasaur, 4H Kids N Dogs Club, Paw by Paw Dog Training, Pet Wants, Warrior Canine Connection will also be present in the heated tent. Last entry is at 20.00.
Holiday is coming soon! We hope you’ll join us for a more special event in Pigtown. Dress your pup in his best holiday outfit to enter the contest and “parade” local breweries around Pigtown. Checkerspot, Wico Street and Pickett are participating. There is no exit, please join the three of us between 12:00 and 16:00. All three breweries offer a percentage refund to BARCS for a particular beer. In addition to the bake sale, we will also be offering BARCS products (including our 2024 calendar!).
Cascade Lights returns bigger and brighter in 2023! Experience the magic at Cascade Lights, Coppermine’s outdoor holiday celebration this season. Dogs are invited to join the lights for special treats and photos of Santa posing for PUP STRUT. This event benefits Tails of Hope Rescue.

Bring back annual vacation photos with your pet! Bring the whole family, fur babies and all, to the Washington Hilton for photos with Santa, hot chocolate and cider. Suggested donation $25 benefits 100% of the Human Rescue Alliance.
A hilarious celebration of the holiday season of all dogs and their wonderful owners!
