Sumners Ponds is a handicap accessible fishery. Fishing lakes include Farm Pond or Betty Lake.
An accessible platform has been built at the farm pond with a ramp from the adjacent car park. This huge indoor area has three large swimming areas, all accessible for people with disabilities. Parking for this lake is located next to the nearest fishing pond, so traveling with your gear isn’t far.

If you’re looking for carp fishing, the four picturesque lochs located in South Devon are the perfect destination for a carp fishing holiday in the UK. Cottages or houses in the UK are nothing more than our accommodation for a fishing holiday.
Large carp have been attracting anglers to our lakes for many years, with our sample lake carp weighing up to 30lbs. Carp are amazing creatures that vary in size and shape. The range also includes mirror carp, common carp and koi cross, which is a pleasant surprise for our anglers.
We have stocked new fish this year to replenish the existing stock and the carp are approaching about 30 years of age and are supported by very large doubles. For many, this is a target fish, but that’s not all. Our ponds are designed to suit all fishing abilities and each offers a different challenge.
We’re just 20 minutes from the M5 Exeter so we make a great weekend break for most, and if you stay a little further away you could stay a week to make it worth it!

Each angler must have a valid fishing ticket and an EPA rod license to fish. Day or weekly tickets are available, with evening tickets starting at 2:00 p.m. One ticket is required per person and two fishing rods are available. We offer discounts for seniors, juniors and children under 12 free when paying as an adult.
