As you arrive at the 13th-century dinner suite, set against the backdrop of a wild azure seascape that inspired the legend of the mermaid Zennora, you relax by the campfire or the wild moors outside.
For a more sheltered and shorter walk, we like Tehidia National Park, the largest area of woodland in West Cornwall. Its 9km of well-marked trails are walkable with energetic dogs in all seasons, and there’s a lakeside café offering cakes and snacks.
