Don’t you hate thinking about the question of where to leave your dog while on vacation? The struggle is real. I try to leave Simba with family members whenever possible. Fortunately, a family member is usually willing to care for Simba for a few days. I have no qualms about leaving Simba with his family because his family loves him so much.
He was around most of our family and they all knew him very well. Everyone loves Simba! I love the fact that he can be around other dogs that he plays with a lot and is very aware of his surroundings. He always had a good time when we visited with family. He enjoyed the attention.

Sometimes the hotels we stay at may not be pet friendly. I wish all hotels were pet friendly and there were pet friendly areas everywhere so you don’t have to worry about where to leave your dog while you are on vacation. It would be great if that happened and we could take Simba on his first beach trip, but this time we can’t.
How To Prepare Your Dog For Boarding
Although my family and I would have preferred to take Simba with us, we know he will be safe with family while we are away. Simba treated his family well while we were away, but he was so happy to see us back!
Of course we are happy to return home with him. It is not a good idea to leave your dog with someone who is afraid of dogs or has no experience with them. You should try to leave your dog with someone who owns a dog or at least knows dogs, loves dogs, and your dog knows them well.
If your family or friends are not around, you can always take your dog somewhere. As always, you should do your research and visit the place before you take your dog there and let him out with strangers. You should definitely check reviews and ask people who they recommend.
A boarding kennel or animal center is a place where you can leave your dog overnight, for a few days, or even longer in some places. Your vet may offer boarding services, so be sure to meet with your vet first as your dog may feel comfortable with the vet and his staff.

Don’t like the idea of boarding your dog outside? How about hiring a dog sitter? You can hire a sitter to watch your dog at home or watch your dog at your home while you are away. In addition, you should also meet the handler and see how your dog interacts with them beforehand.
